Fort Smith Bridal Fest 2012 | Lissa Clair Photos

Yesterday, I participated in the Fort Smith Bridal Fest!

Fair

This was my first bridal fair and, since it was only two hours long, I was mostly just trying to figure out what I was supposed to do. I realize that's not the most professional thing to say on a blog, but the truth is that when I don't have a camera strapped to my body or when I'm not pounding words on a keyboard or when I'm doing something for the first time, I can be pretty shy. Despite the urge I felt to look at the floor a few times, though, the fair was a success!

After I was set up and before all the brides came through, I tried to take a bunch of detail shots to share with y'all, but my son had other plans:

The bookcase had eight mason jars on each shelf, but he thought they all belonged together! Right after this, he spilled a bag of potato chips all over the floor and was promptly escorted out by his dad.

Here's a couple of the table:

And here's two more of my husband, being supportive and cute and stuff.

Honestly, it was so nice to meet all of the brides yesterday! I was pretty nervous for this fair, but things went really well and I'm excited to have more 2012 weddings booked! Also, keep an eye out for a post later this week about the NWA Bride Premier Showcase in Springdale this weekend. On Friday (the day before the fair), I will be announcing something huge that may or may not concern a free wedding photography competition, so be sure to stay tuned!

P.S. The photographs of Andrew (my husband) are totally posed and were shot while I was sitting in the car after the fair... and I'm totally adding them to my One Hundred Faces portfolio so don't be surprised when you see them later this week.
